Self care is one of those things that is just so hard to make time for when you’re a mom with little kids. A great way to squeeze self care in is to take regular mundane parts of your day sometimes, and make them into something relaxing or enjoyable.

Have you tried making your own homemade makeup remover wipes yet?

Adding soothing salts to a warm bath is one of the best ways I’ve found to destress without having to leave my house. Soaking for just 15 minutes in an Epsom salt bath relaxes my sore mom body and also helps me to detox after a long day.

Rose bath salt is one of my favorite kinds to make since it just feels more like self care to have the added bonus of pretty rose petals and the sweet scent of roses in the air. It can almost drown out the sound of my kids wanting me just outside the door, haha!

These pretty pink salts make the perfect DIY gift too. Combine them with a beeswax candle, homemade body butter, lip balm and handmade rose scented perfume to make a sweet spa gift box any mom would love to receive!
