Homemade Vanilla Coffee Creamer – Healthy Recipe
Homemade vanilla creamer is so easy to make and tastes so much better (and is much healthier!) than store-bought coffee creamers. Made with simple ingredients like maple syrup and real vanilla extract.

A while ago I swapped conventional coffee creamer (trying to avoid highly processed foods) for cream and sugar in my morning coffee, but I missed the vanilla flavor was used to.
So if you know me, I like to come up with a homemade version of most things and making my own coffee creamer is one of those things I’d been wanting to try!
Turns out, it is super easy to make with just a couple of basic ingredients and this recipe is easily adaptable to make all kinds of different flavors!

How long does homemade vanilla coffee creamer last?
You can store homemade creamer in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week.
Can you make it dairy‑free / with non‑dairy milk?
You can make a dairy free coffee creamer using coconut milk products.

What kind of sweetener is best?
I find it best to use a liquid sweetener like honey or maple syrup rather than sugar since sugar wouldn’t dissolve easily in this recipe.
I prefer maple syrup over honey because honey has a stronger flavor that can overpower the vanilla.
How to adjust sweetness / flavor strength?
If you prefer a sweeter creamer, you can add a little more maple syrup.
For a stronger vanilla flavor, add a teaspoon more of vanilla extract or an extra vanilla bean.
